Annual Awards Banquet and Silent Auction
The Annual Awards Banquet will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. The 2013 Lion of Zion Award recipient is Teresa Phillips, director of athletics for Tennessee State University. We are excited to honor Ms. Phillips with this presigious award!

On March 26, 2013, Nashville OIC will hold its Annual Awards Banquet at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. Over 200 guests will enjoy live music and a silent auction followed by dinner and a program including student testimonials and comments by the Lion of Zion Award Recipient. The 2013 Lion of Zion Award winner is Teresa Phillips, director of athletics for Tennessee State University. Past award winners include Mayor Karl F. Dean, J.D. Elliott, Eddie George, Dr. Forrest Harris, Sr., Anne Holt, Dr. Melvin Johnson, Rev. James Lawson, Rev. Ken Locke, Leatrice McKissack, Dr. Hazel R. O’Leary, Chief Ronal Serpas, and Quenton White.

Summer Youth Basketball and Cheerleading Camp
Check back for information about camp in 2013!
Summer brings Nashville OIC’s week-long Youth Basketball and Cheerleading Camp at the Watkins Park Community Center. Participants make friends, practice their sports and cheerleading skills, and learn about leadership and healthy eating from guest speakers. This camp is also an opportunity for OIC to recruit students as many parents enroll in OIC’s GED and computer classes following their children’s attendance at the camp. This year's camp was held June 4-8, 2012.

OIC’s Graduation is held each June for students completing courses. It is an opportunity for students to receive a diploma, wear a cap and gown, and celebrate their successes. Everyone is invited to attend this event. This year's graduation was held on June 24, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at Clark Memorial UMC, 1014 14th Ave. N.
